20-Minute Screening Call

A Talent Representative will contact you to schedule a call to discuss your work experience and skills. This is a straightforward part of the onboarding process where the Talent Representative gets to know you and helps you optimize your profile. There's no need to prepare for this call.

Background Check

Once the call is completed, a background check will be conducted through one of our trusted partners (usually takes less than 72 hours). Workerbee specialists work directly with customers' data, so we require a background check to build trust and reassure clients that everyone on the platform meets safety and integrity standards.

Get Great Gigs

Upon completing these steps, you'll be approved to provide services on Workerbee! By the way, the Talent Reps won't just stop at onboarding; they are always available to help you maximize your exposure, build your brand, and attract opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike traditional IT jobs that usually involve long-term commitments and demanding schedules, Workerbee lets you set your own hours and workload. It’s perfect if you prefer the flexibility to work whenever you choose, instead of sticking to a full-time or part-time schedule. The best part is you can do both! Many Workerbee clients need part-time help for short periods, so you can boost your full-time income with gig work on the side. It’s a great way to maximize your earnings and gain diverse experience.
To become a Workerbee specialist, follow these steps: 1.   Create your Workerbee profile. 2.   Attend a 20-minute screening call. 3.   Pass a background check. For more information, click here.
Joining Workerbee is completely free and gives you access to a world of opportunities.
As a Workerbee specialist, you’re an independent contractor connecting with companies through our talent marketplace. You’ll need an EIN to establish your independent contractor status with both Workerbee and your clients. Get an EIN here.
Yes, you can work as a sole proprietor on Workerbee, but there are two limitations: You must use an EIN as your tax identifier instead of your SSN. This helps prevent identity theft and establishes a clear independent contractor relationship between you, Workerbee, and your clients. Your platform availability will be limited to 20 hours per week. This usually isn’t an issue for those seeking part-time work or a side hustle. To increase your availability beyond 20 hours a week, you’ll need to set up an LLC.

Working as an LLC offers two main benefits:

 1. You can set your availability up to 40 hours per week.
 2. An LLC provides personal asset protection in case of legal issues or bankruptcy.
